2025 Warwick Rodeo & Campdraft

Known as the “Melbourne Cup” of campdrafting, the Warwick Gold Cup is the most prestigious event of its kind in Australia, attracting more riders and offering more prize money than any other Campdraft in the country. With $370,000 in cash prizes, along with trophy saddles, trophies, and a range of other awards, it has long been regarded as the Australian Championship Campdraft. Held annually on the last full weekend of October, the Warwick Gold Cup runs alongside the Warwick Rodeo – famously dubbed “Australia’s Most Famous” – where the nation’s top rodeo riders take on the best broncs and bucking bulls. Immortalised in song by country music legend Buddy Williams in the 1940s, the Warwick Rodeo reflects a long-standing tradition of horsemanship in a town known for its historic sandstone buildings, rose gardens, and wide, tree-lined streets. Today, the combined Warwick Rodeo and Gold Cup Campdraft draws crowds of over 30,000 people, with competitors and horses travelling from every mainland state to take part.
